Dr. Rhonda Lawes is a distinguished nursing professional and Chief Nursing Officer at Lecturio. She holds a PhD in Educational Psychology from Oklahoma City University, with a focus on academic resilience, self-efficacy, and mindset research. In tandem with her role at Lecturio, Dr. Lawes is also an Adjunct Professor at Oral Roberts University.
With almost two decades of full-time teaching experience, Dr. Lawes’ expertise covers a breadth of nursing disciplines, including pathophysiology, nursing research, and NCLEX preparation. She has personally guided over 6,000 nursing students to NCLEX success and provides free tutoring to those in need.
An accomplished speaker and published author, Dr. Lawes is a recognized thought leader within nursing education.
Amy Howells, PhD, CPNP-AC/PC
Associate Professor at the University of Washington School of Nursing
Dr. Amy Howells is an Associate Teaching Professor at the University of Washington School of Nursing in Seattle, Washington.
She graduated as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) from the University of Texas, Houston in 2005, and then practiced as an instructor, later becoming an Assistant Professor at Baylor College of Medicine.
She completed two post-master’s certificates in Nursing Education and Acute Care PNP, finally obtaining her PhD in Nursing in 2014. In 2016, she joined the University of Washington to facilitate the creation of the Acute Care PNP track.
At Lecturio, Dr. Howells teaches courses on Pediatric Nursing.
Angela Richard-Eaglin, DNP, FNP-BC, CNE, FAANP
Associate Dean for Equity and Associate Clinical Professor at Yale School of Nursing
Dr. Richard-Eaglin is the Associate Dean for Equity at Yale School of Nursing and an Associate Clinical Professor. She is a champion of expanding diversity and fostering cultural intelligence and humility in health professions education and clinical practice.
As a Certified Professional Cultural Intelligence (CQ) and Unconscious Bias Facilitator and Coach through the Cultural Intelligence Center, Dr. Richard-Eaglin develops and facilitates customized workshops that inform practicing health professionals, educators, students, researchers, and staff on the application of CQ to organizational wellness, bias management, and the mitigation of bias-influenced health outcomes.

Dr. Heide Cygan is an Associate Professor, Department of Community, systems and Mental Health Nursing at Rush University College of Nursing in Chicago, where she is also the co-program director of the Advanced Public Health Nursing and Transformative Leadership: Population Health DNP programs. Dr. Cygan is board certified Advanced Public Health Nurse.
Dr. Cygan received her BSN from the University of Michigan and her DNP from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
For her professional achievements, she earned the Education MVP award from Rush University in 2019 and was named one of the 40 under 40 Emerging Nurse Leaders by Illinois Nurses Foundation in 2018.
Within Lecturio, Dr. Cygan will teach a course on Public Health Nursing.

Samantha Rhea, MSN, RN, is a Nursing Instructor at Rogers State University. She obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Nursing Science from Northeastern State University and later earned her Master’s degree in Nursing Education from the University of Oklahoma. After gaining extensive experience working in higher education and acute care facilities, she transitioned into a Nursing Educator role, while also maintaining clinical practice as a Registered Nurse.

Dr. John Russell, DNP, APRN, AGACNP-BC, FNP-BC, CCRN, CRNFA is the owner and founder of Skills On Point® LLC, and a Nurse Practitioner/First Assistant specializing in cardiothoracic surgery. He also serves as a program director for the National Institute of First Assisting, INC (NIFA®).
A graduate of Illinois State University and University of Pennsylvania, John teaches advanced practice nursing at Rosalind Franklin University for CRNAs and PMHNPs.
